About 6G

6G Golf is the official on-course evolution of golf—an integrated six-hole format designed to fit seamlessly into existing 18-hole layouts. Each certified “6G Link” provides a complete, time-efficient round—played in approximately 80 minutes—without sacrificing the strategy, beauty, or tradition of the game.

Unlike off-course entertainment models such as Topgolf or Drive Shack, 6G Golf is played on real courses and managed by certified clubs under the World Golfing Federation (WGF). It enhances the experience for current members while inviting millions of new players to enjoy the game in a modern, flexible way.

Why 6G Golf?

  • 6G Golf redefines accessibility and engagement across every generation of players:

    • For busy professionals and new golfers: an official, one-hour-twenty-minute game that fits modern lifestyles without compromising authenticity.

    • For older or seasonal players: a shorter, lower-impact round that keeps them active and competitive, even in challenging weather or health conditions.

    • For golf courses: a simple on-course integration requiring minimal investment—creating new tee time inventory, increased revenue, and revitalized club activity.

    • For all golfers: a fresh rhythm—22 to 26 strokes per round—designed to elevate focus, pace, and competition.

6G Golf brings balance back to the game: faster play, full experience, official scoring.

The Rules

6G Golf is played only at certified courses under the World Golfing Federation (WGF). Each approved club operates under official 6G certification standards and uses the 6G Handicap System, designed specifically for the six-hole format to ensure fairness, precision, and universal scoring consistency.

The Six Rules of 6G focus on simplicity, flow, and keeping play in the short grass—without penalizing players for the limitations of land or design. The goal is to enhance competition and pace while maintaining the integrity of true on-course golf.

For example, the traditional “Out of Bounds” penalty—often a result of arbitrary property lines or dated course layouts—is redefined as a lateral hazard in 6G Golf. This small but essential change keeps the game fair, fast, and fun for all skill levels.

6G IN ACTION

The official rollout of 6G Golf begins in 2026, with at least seven Beta Programs planned across Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Germany, and Costa Rica. These pilot locations will become the first WGF-certified 6G Courses, demonstrating how the six-hole format enhances pace, profitability, and participation—without changing the soul of the game.

A New Era for Golf Course Communities

Each Beta Program will introduce newly designed 6G Links integrated within existing 18-hole layouts. These six-hole configurations are engineered to improve traffic flow, expand scheduling flexibility, and increase member satisfaction while preserving the club’s traditional course operations.

6G: A Sustainable Future for Golf

6G Golf offers a forward-looking solution for courses worldwide—increasing utilization, reducing operational strain, and introducing new generations to the game. Clubs can expand their offerings, attract new members, and generate additional revenue through official 6G-certified play.

Once each Beta Program launches, the new certified 6G Links for those courses will be available for review right here on this website, including layouts, link names, and official 6G scorecards for every certified location.
